Usually, clients proceed to regular therapy sessions, lasting between 50-60 minutes. Depending on the agreed treatment plan, sessions typically run weekly or fortnightly. This enables the work to build some momentum, without large breaks in between sessions. The number of sessions that you require will be discussed during the assessment process and this can be discussed and reviewed over the duration of therapy.
Each intervention is based around individual’s therapeutic goals. The general aim of therapy is to explore and understand presenting issues, allow time and space to reflect and process life events, and utilise strategies to overcome difficulties.
